Blairbeich is the home of Swedish born Malla Macdonald. The house is set well back from a quiet
country lane and is an American architect designed wooden
house - roomy, warm and comfortable.
The view from the front, facing north, is of Ben Lomond and
the Highlands. The house is surrounded by a garden and there
is a large pond just next
to the house. Of course there are plenty of trees - mainly
birch - hence the name Blairbeich Plantation.
Just beyond the woods is a "Site of Special Scientific
Interest", a raised
peat bog. The flora and fauna is fantastic here and the loudest
sound you will hear is birdsong.
The two guest bedrooms are on the ground floor and both have a
view over the pond. Each bedroom has its own en-suite
facilities. Both bedrooms open into the living
room, where there is a wood burning fire place. We have a
no smoking policy in any part of the house.
Although it is very quiet where we are, Glasgow is only 45
minutes away, Glasgow Aiport is 30 minutes away,
Edinburgh about 90 minutes and Stirling about 30 minutes. The Trossachs are just a few miles away.
We would be happy to suggest an intinerary for you depending
on your interests. We want you to enjoy yourselves while staying
with us.
